Commenting system now working!

All right, good news -- I've finally gotten the commenting system here at the new website to start working, although I'm still having some problems with the Perl file that's supposed to send me an email whenever a new comment is submitted. So what that means, then, is that you're now welcome to start submitting comments whenever you want; but for now, I have to remember to manually come by the site on a regular basis and approve those comments before they'll appear, meaning that there might be significant delays concerning comments until I can get this Perl file fixed (or whatever it is that turns out to be wrong). I promise, I'll try to remember to stop by the site regularly!

Don't forget, CCLaP has an official commenting policy as well, although it only consists of three rules so as to encourage people to take it seriously:

1) No personal attacks;
2) No publishing of another person's real information against their will;
and 3) No ridiculing of others because of race, gender, sexual orientation or disability.

If your comment ends up never appearing at the CCLaP website, it's undoubtedly because it violated one of these three rules; questions concerning the subject, of course, can always be directed to me at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com. Conversely, once a person leaves three comments or more that don't violate these rules, they will be placed on the "trusted commenter" list; future comments from them will skip the moderation holding period and instead be published immediately.

Longtime followers of my various online projects already know that I don't usually allow for public comments at my websites; I'm doing so in this case because I'm sincerely interested in having you join the conversation here at CCLaP, and to add your own two cents regarding the various projects and artists mentioned here. That said, I'm also a real stickler for basic human dignity with regards to anonymous public comments, and will be enforcing CCLaP's commenting guidelines quite strictly; in other words, you're more than welcome to rip apart an artist's work or philosophies here if desired, but not to post vague, unfocused personal attacks against that artist. Or to put it even more simply -- comments along the lines of "You suck" will not be approved, while commenters with something interesting to say will almost immediately be given "trusted" status. I hope you'll bear all this in mind when interacting with the CCLaP site, and I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Comments at the CCLaP website are moderated, to make sure they are not violating one of the three rules enforced here: 1) No personal attacks; 2) No publishing of another person's real information against their will; and 3) No ridiculing of others because of race, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
