Obsession of the moment: Fart Party

Fart Party, by Julia Wertz

Yes, I'm an online comics junkie, what can I say? I just gots to have me my daily ha-ha! And it doesn't get much more consistently funny online than the excellently cruddy (or is that cruddily excellent) Fart Party, by San Francisco twentysomething Julia Wertz. An autobiographical comic in all senses of the word, Fart Party deals mostly with the same thing that Wertz deals with in her own life; getting drunk, smoking dope, making a fool out of herself in awkward situations, then glossing the whole thing over with a witty self-destructive joke. I love it! And not only is she an online comic artist, but also sells self-published paper versions as well; Chicagoans, for example, can pick up a copy at CCLaP favorite Quimby's Bookstore in Wicker Park. Fart Party is one of the only comics I read that is guaranteed to make me laugh each and every day, which is not something I take lightly; I encourage you to check it out yourself, if you have the chance.
