Today's photo of the day is entitled "beach_path" and is by Chicagoan Mark Wisniowski. Mark's a professional photographer in the ad industry, actually, as well as an art director and 3D illustration expert; his probe3 website is a mix of his corporate and more artistic work. Believe it or not, the photo you're seeing was actually taken in the middle of the night, by leaving the film exposed a total of 12 seconds, which is how he was able to get the weird lighting effects on the sand and clouds; I in particular like this shot so much as well because it was taken at Montrose Beach, in my neighborhood.
Don't forget that I actually maintain a whole page of favorite photographs over at Flickr, for those who would like to see more. To express an interest in having your own work featured, just drop me a line at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com.
