CCLaP reviews -- now in convenient spreadsheet form

CCLaP review spreadsheets

Well, it's true, that the total amount of long-form reviews published here at CCLaP are starting to get the slightest bit hefty for the first time; 16 book reviews and 16 movie reviews in the last two months, for a total count of around 32,000 words, or roughly half the size of The Bridges of Madison County (and with no quirkily attractive National Geographic photographers either). Anyway, with the lists getting just larger and larger by the day, I thought there might be points when some people out there will wish to sort these lists by different criteria; the year produced, the author or director, its eventual score here, etc etc; so instead of publishing a bunch of different HTML pages sorted by different criteria, and having to update all the lists each time I post another review, I decided to just create some spreadsheets with the info instead, which you can now download and sort in whatever way you want.

Anyway, for those who are interested, you can right-click here for the movie list, and right-click here for the book list; and no need to keep track of this particular entry in the future for these links, in that they now run at the top of the main online category pages as well. Files are saved in the Microsoft Excel (or .xls) format, since it is the most popular one out there; lots of other programs besides Excel, however, can open XLS files, including the free online Google Spreadsheets. Hope this is of some convenience to those who wish to look through these lists using one aspect as the most important.
