And speaking of podcasts...

Since this is such a podcast-heavy day today at CCLaP, I thought I'd share two more small pieces of information regarding the subject:

--First, I just wanted to let everyone know that the CCLaP Podcast is now being listed and tracked over at the Digg Podcast Directory, for those who would like to vote for it. Oh, did you not know that Digg sponsors a podcast directory? They do! It works just like their normal blog directory, to tell you the truth -- that is, if you come across a podcast you like, you can simply click on the button above, with Digg keeping a running count of those clicks over at their central database, and showing the most popular ones on its front page. It's a difficult thing these days, trying to get extra publicity for a podcast, simply because of so many of them now existing; if you'd like to help CCLaP receive a little more attention for its own podcast, I would encourage you to click away.

--And then secondly, as some of you have undoubtedly noticed already, I have decided to switch services when it comes to the streaming online audio version of the CCLaP Podcast, and to finally dump my old service Odeo for good. I've been with them for three or four years now, actually, because of wanting to support co-founder Evan Williams, a person I really admire; but unfortunately Odeo's effectiveness has grown worse and worse and worse over the last six months or so, to the point where I can barely get my MP3 files to load and play correctly anymore. It's a frustrating situation, one I finally lost patience for this week; and that's why I've now moved over to Vudyo for this week's episode, and will also be trying out Talkshoe and Yaktivate over the next month as well. (And on a completely unrelated note -- man, if I had a dime for every streaming-audio service with a cutesy, groan-inducing name...) Anyway, I am actively seeking recommendations right now for a good free streaming-audio service; if there's one you're a fan of or actually work for, do please let me know via comment or email.
