Photo of the day: "Lines," by Danny Putrus

Lines, by Danny Putrus

Today's photo of the day is entitled "Lines," and is by Chicago artist Danny Putrus. Danny's been featured here at the CCLaP site before, in fact, and you can check that original posting for more on his background and artistic aims; here's what he had to say recently about this latest image...

"For several years I walked past this abandoned machine shop. Clad in corrugated aluminum that shimmered like a fish at sunset. It most have been a bustling little shop 40 or 50 years ago. Now. Nothing is made there anymore. Inside bare and cold. Until one cold January morning. A sign I never noticed before: HELP WANTED: MECHANIC."

Thanks very much, Danny! And don't forget, I actually maintain a whole page of favorite photographs over at Flickr, for those who would like to see more. To express an interest in having your own work featured, just drop me a line at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com.
