Today's photo of the day is entitled "Regeneration and Wrigley," and is by a Flickr member who goes by "Stephen S." Stephen's based out of Milwaukee, even though today's image was taken in Chicago; he has a personal blog as well, for those who are interested. The title of the image comes from the interesting historical spots that are seen here; the Wrigley Building in the background, created by the same Wrigley family that built Wrigley Field and started WGN, and then the "Regeneration" bas-relief sculpture in the foreground, one of four famous public works on the four anchors of the Michigan Avenue bridge, connecting the city's Loop and Magnificent Mile. This is one of my favorite spots in the entire city, and am particularly impressed with how well Stephen's captured it here.
Don't forget that I actually maintain a whole page of favorite photographs over at Flickr, for those who would like to see more. To express an interest in having your own work featured, just drop me a line at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com.
