Admittedly, I'm not a fan, but I'm impressed with the fact that comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has gone to court half a dozen times now because of "Borat" lawsuits, and has won each and every single time. Gives me just the tiniest amount of faith in the system.

Interesting article in the NYT examines the issue of soap operas during the writers strike, and how they're managing to churn out new episodes: among other things, turns out that network executive secretaries are helping to write new scripts. I love it!
HBO to begin offering customers free online versions of most shows
HBO is putting their content online for free; but it requires an existing subscription and a special piece of software for your home PC. Sorry, Mac owners, it's a big "f--k you" again for all of you, just like Netflix.
