Photo of the day: "Chicago looking a bit like a space station," by Rebecca Whitney

Today's photo of the day is entitled "Chicago looking a bit like a space station," and is by Rebecca Whitney. Rebecca here has captured what I think is one of the more visually arresting images in the city, one of the reasons I moved to Chicago in the first place; and that's the weird space-age feeling you get while up on the elevated train platforms of the city's downtown Loop, the way that it feels like there is an entire secret futuristic city hovering around 30 feet above the "normal" city we usually experience as pedestrians.
Don't forget that I actually maintain a whole page of favorite photographs over at Flickr, for those who would like to see more. To express an interest in having your own work featured, just drop me a line at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com.
