Photo of the day: "Chicago River," by Mike Gonzalez

Chicago River, by Mike Gonzalez

Today's photo of the day is entitled "Chicago River," and is by Mike Gonzalez. For those who don't know, the Chicago River actually winds its way through the center of the city, splitting the downtown neighborhoods of the "Loop" (the business district) and "River North" (which includes the tourist district, the "Magnificent Mile" shopping district, and the city's oldest gallery district); even more amazing, according to Mike this was just a snapshot he took in a hurry while down in the area the other day back in 2006.

Don't forget that I actually maintain a whole page of favorite photographs over at Flickr, for those who would like to see more. To express an interest in having your own work featured, just drop me a line at cclapcenter [at] gmail.com.
