New mashup for Google Maps, "Mezzoman," takes the addresses of two friends, then finds a restaurant halfway between them based on cuisine, determining perfect meetup place automatically.
Surprise -- most artists rarely have "eureka" moments
Interesting article in the NYT looks at a whole variety of data coming out these days to conclude the following -- that innovation is mostly the result of small steps and hard work, not the romantic notion of epiphanous "Eureka!" moments like we enjoy believing.

Remember Clean Flix, the service that will scrub swear words from DVDs for conservative Christian audiences? Yeah, the owner just got busted paying to have sex with two 14-year-olds. Plus, they had a freaking sex dungeon in the back of their store!
