It's the largest and most prestigious all-female literary award on the planet; I haven't read -any- of the six nominees, to tell you the truth, but have them all now in my queue list.

Defamer: "No, seriously, the Marilyn Monroe sex tape is a hoax, seriously"
A rare piece of investigative journalism by Gawker site "Defamer" shows that the recent news about a Marilyn Monroe sex tape is most likely 100-percent fake, based on the scummy reputations of the people officially involved and their past records of lies and hoaxes.

The last of Disney's "nine old men" dies
For those who are curious, the name comes from the way Roosevelt used to slangily describe the Supreme Court in the 1930s; the term was used ironically at Disney, in that the "nine old men" were actually in their twenties when first called that.

Dollar sinks to all-time low versus euro
Gee, it's just a treasure trove of great news today, isn't it? For those keeping track, the euro (EU's official currency) is now worth $1.60 of American money, the highest level in that currency's eight-year history.

After sitting on a stopped underground train for over an hour with no news, frustrated Chicago passengers decide to save themselves, walk down tunnel to safety. Way to go, CTA!
