EFF: "We're pretty sure NBC secretly tried their first 'broadcast flag' this weekend"
Do you know about the "broadcast flag?" It's a corporate conspiracy whereby networks send out a "don't record this" signal that signal-friendly computers can understand; and the Electronic Frontier Foundation is pretty sure NBC and Microsoft tried it for the first time this weekend, on the season premiere of "American Gladiators" of all things.

This is the creepiest news I've heard out of Hollywood in a long, long, long, long, long, long time.

What a surprise -- off-duty Chicago cop gets wasted at a restaurant bar over the weekend, picks random middle-aged couple and beats the sh-t out of them, unprovoked and for no particular reason. What a surprise!
