In one of the most cowardly decisions I've seen in a long time, the Wilmette Park District decides to cancel a production of the award-winning Broadway musical "Ragtime," since the 1800s period piece contains the word 'nigger.' Un-f-cking-believable.

The NY Daily News reminds us that Will Smith is actually opening a private school this fall that teaches Scientology principles to little children; and that every time you shell out ten bucks for crap like "Hancock," you're helping to pay for it.

More bad news for national punching-bag John McCain: a review of finance reports shows that of the top 500 Republican donators, less than half have contributed to his Prez campaign at this point. It's nice, frankly, to see the neocons in such chaos.
