
Today's photo of the day is entitled "Köln," and is by Arne Böll. As you might guess from the title of the image, Arne is indeed from Germany, and this image is indeed from the city of Cologne (known as "Köln" in German); in fact, if I have my translation right, this is a shot of a back stairwell from that city's Archbishop Diocesan Museum ("Erzbischöfliches Diözesanmuseum"), created in the late 1990s by postmodern architect Peter Zumthor.
