Below are simple links to other interesting stuff I've come across on the web in the last day or two; they may or may not concern literature or photography, or indeed the arts at all. You can click here to learn more about how I compile this list and what software I use, if you're interested.
Mistress: "Madoff has tiny d-ck; needs drugs to get it up"
Surprise, surprise -- one of the mistresses of billionaire scumbag Bernie Madoff, who also happens to be one of the thousands who lost her live savings because of his massive ponzi scheme, is now looking to get revenge by publishing a humiliating tell-all memoir about him. The first big bombshells? Not only that he has a tiny penis, but that he also needed to smoke pot nearly every time he wanted to have sex. The full book comes out next week, for those who...ugh...want to know more.
Young Pakistanis increasingly starting to use Twitter
And here's what I think is the most interesting aspect, according to the article on the subject over at the excellent GlobalPost.com -- that far from being a platform for personal confessional statements, nearly everyone using Twitter so far in Pakistan is doing so for business and political reasons. Then again, it's estimated that only ten percent of Pakistan's population is online at all right now, and that the vast majority of this ten percent are young, politically motivated reform enthusiasts, so I suppose it would make sense that they're using Twitter for such a purpose.
Six Apart adds Twitter-like microblogging to TypePad
It's now part of the standard package that comes with all TypePad accounts; for those who are curious, it's apparently easy to repost such material as well to your existing Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Is Obama's press secretary causing damage to the administration?
An interesting article over at the Daily Beast, asserting that Obama's press secretary Robert Gibbs is actually as smug and self-righteous as all his predecessors in the Bush administration, thus going against Obama's promise during the campaign to stop "politics as usual" if getting elected. Certainly a thought-provoking piece, if nothing else.
Did strep throat kill Mozart?
Mmmmaybe; but a new article in The Annals of Internal Medicine certainly makes a strong argument for it.
