"Too Young to Fall Asleep" reaches 500 downloads

Too Young to Fall Asleep, by Sally Weigel

Well, I've got astounding news to announce today -- CCLaP's latest original book, the youth/war novella Too Young to Fall Asleep by Sally Weigel, just yesterday celebrated its 500th download. Opa! This is already a much larger number than I had been expecting for the book in its entire history; so then for it to reach this number in just its first month of release as well is a feat I almost can't believe. For those who don't know, this is a rather major milestone to reach in the world of small-press books, with most titles only considered a true success after reaching the half-thousand mark or more; and don't forget, even the average mainstream-press book in the US only sells 1,500 copies altogether, which means that Asleep is well on its way to being just as popular as most titles from Random House and the like. Given that not a penny has been spent on the book's promotion, and not a single review has been published, I consider this almost astronomically great news.

Anyway, obviously this has come about because of the hard work of the book's fans, and the word-of-mouth you all keep giving the title; so I humbly thank you once again for doing so, and highly encourage you to keep up the good work. In that regard, don't forget that Asleep has its own Facebook group (almost 175 members strong now) and its own listing at Goodreads.com; these are two easy but powerful ways to help get the book a little more attention, for those who would like to help out but don't have a lot of time or money to do so. And of course, if you still haven't downloaded and read the book yet yourself, I highly encourage you to do so whenever you have the chance. Congratulations again to Sally for reaching this important milestone, and thanks again to all of CCLaP's readers for helping us reach it!
