Today's photo of the day is entitled "Joshua Trees #2," and is by a Flickr member who goes by the handle "Blurrylens." BL is from Altadena, California; and indeed, as the title indicates, this particular image was shot in that state's Joshua Tree National Park, specifically near Lost Horse Mine according to the photographer.
