Won't you join us at CCLaP's Printers Row reader meetup?

2010 Printers Row Book Fair

Well, it's that time of year again; time for the Printers Row Book Fair, that is, otherwise known as the largest annual literary event of the American Midwest, featuring not only hundreds of retail tents but also a plethora of signings, panel discussions, author readings and more, most of them sponsored by our pals over at the Chicago Tribune. And for the fourth year in a row, CCLaP will be hosting a very informal reader meetup, basically a chance to hang out at a bar with your fellow readers for a couple of hours, have a beer and make some new friends. As with previous years, it will take place on Saturday, June 12th, in the late afternoon hours (say, around 4:30 to around 6:30), at Kasey's Tavern located at 701 South Dearborn, right in the heart of the fairground itself. If history is any guide, it'll be crowded there that day, so make sure to go all the way to the back of the bar and look for the circle of people with little colored stickers on their shirts; that'll be the CCLaP crowd, which I hope you'll have a chance to join for a bit while you're down at the fair yourself, especially those of you waiting around for this year's "Printers Row After Dark" event to start. (Yes, I'll be attending that too.) I hope to see you there!
