Sorry that it's taken me a bit to get this posted -- I've been nursing a hangover the last couple days the likes of which I haven't experienced in years -- but I wanted to let everyone know that CCLaP's big quadruple book release party and performance extravaganza this last Wednesday was a big success, with a total of around 75 people in attendance altogether, including a handful of my fellow Goodreads.com regulars! It was nice to see you, ladies! Anyway, a fun drunken time was had by all, including short performances from all four authors whose books were being featured that night (Jason Fisk, Sally Weigel, Ben Tanzer and Mark R. Brand), plus special surprise performances by fellow local writers Delphine Pontvieux and Robert Duffer, both of whom are contributors to CCLaP's new anthology on the subject of setting, Amsterdamned If You Do, edited by our summer intern Traci Kim and that will be getting released to the public this coming Monday.

I'll be posting my full set of party photos to my Flickr account this weekend, plus any photos by others that I can get them to send to me (hint, hint); and then the performances will be getting released this Monday as well, as the latest episode of the CCLaP Podcast, so I hope you'll get to come by for that too. Many thanks once again to Victor, Brent and everyone else at Beauty Bar for being so helpful and friendly, and special thanks to all of you who were able to actually make it out. And for all of you who have been missing the regular book and movie reviews I normally do here, no worries -- we're finally back to the usual grind starting next week.
