Don't forget the big CCLaP Quimby's party this Friday!

American Wasteland: A CCLaP Anthology

Quimby's Bookstore

Hooray! Only four more days until CCLaP's next big live event, a release party for the coming dark sci-fi 9/11 anthology American Wasteland, happening this Friday (September 9th) at 7 pm at the Wicker Park hangout and national indie-lit treasure Quimby's Bookstore. I'm proud to be able to say that I've been involved with Quimby's activities for almost a decade now (I used to do write-ups in the '90s for their old paper "Magalog"), and so am especially proud for CCLaP to finally be doing its first Quimby's event; plus there will be a case of free crappy beer on hand, so what more do you frakking need? Oh, you do want more, you say? Well then, don't forget that there will be readings from the anthology that night by its three local contributors -- Mark R. Brand, Delphine Pontvieux and Lawrence Santoro -- which will be recorded and rebroadcast on the center's podcast the following week; and of course there will be a chance to purchase the book itself, other CCLaP titles as well if you want, and just the usual opportunities to meet your fellow readers and other such sexy nerds in funny glasses. Don't forget that the party has its own Facebook page and iCal file, for adding automatically to your own home calendar program. I hope to see you there!
