It's day five of Katherine Scott Nelson's virtual book tour for hir CCLaP novella Have You Seen Me! And in fact I'm recapping day four of the tour as well today, because I didn't have a chance to yesterday; in that case Katherine was visiting with our old pal and fellow CCLaP author Ben Tanzer, where the two sat and talked for a while for Ben's podcast. Today Katherine is over at another old friend of the center, Jason Behrends of What To Wear During An Orange Alert, where ze once again did an audio interview for the Orange Alert Podcast. Both talks are really fascinating, so I encourage you to stop by and check them both out whenever you have a chance.
And what was keeping me so busy yesterday that I didn't have a chance to post an update? Why, Katherine was doing a rare physical appearance as a part of hir virtual tour, in this case over at the revered LGBT resource The Center On Halsted in the Boystown neighborhood. This was sponsored by the Lambda Literary Foundation, the organization that hands out the Lambda Awards for LGBT literature of which Katherine is double-nominated this year; in fact, all of the Chicago-based nominees were at this reading yesterday, a fascinating program that was a lot of fun to attend. And of course don't forget that Katherine (as well as a half-dozen of CCLaP's other authors) will be in New York in just six days from now, doing a special four-day mini-tour covering all kinds of different venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Anyway, I hope all you New Yorkers will be able to make it out to one of those shows; and if not, definitely make sure to stop by here again on Monday, where day six of Katherine's virtual tour will take hir over to the blog of the famed Another Chicago Magazine.
